HOME MODIFICATIONS
Aidacare is a highly experienced provider of home modification services assisting people to continue to live safely and independently in their own home. These modifications may include introducing assistive technology products into the home environment or making structural changes to the home.
Modifications are usually based on a thorough assessment by an Occupational Therapist and can range from something as simple as installing grab-rails, hand-rails, lever taps and step-wedges to more complex home modifications such as installing fixed wheelchair ramps and widening doorways.
Our installers work closely with healthcare professionals and private clients to achieve outstanding results. At Aidacare we are able to arrange expert installation of everything you may need to ensure that the home is safe, secure and mobility friendly.
Considerations for Home Modifications
Adaptability
Many changes can be made quickly to accommodate your needs without having to redesign your home. Examples may include installing grab-rails on bathroom walls and movable cabinets under the sink so that someone in a wheelchair can use the space.
Accessibility
Improving accessibility means making doorways wider, clearing spaces to make sure a wheelchair can pass through, lowering kitchen countertop heights for sinks and cabinets and installing grab-rails and ramps.
